Staff Painting Competition: Minis and Mechs!

Staff Painting Competition: Minis and Mechs!

As our Earth Day Painting Competition concluded and the winners were announced, tension was building throughout the office. What was the next theme going to be? Would people be able to paint the project they’ve had in mind for months, or would they need to dig deep in their pile of shame for that perfect miniature? The time to announce the theme was upon us.

Little Guys and Vehicles & Mechs. That’s right, two themes! Two chances for our staff to show what they’re made of and enter a project into either (or both!) of the vastly different themes. One theme was perfect for those who like their miniatures, well… miniature and the other was ideal for those who want to bring on the big guns and decimate their foes.

Wet palettes were readied, and paint was prepared, the painting competition had begun. Cheering us on from the sidelines was everyone’s favourite German Spitz, Mavis, gracing us with her majesty (and slightly less majestic faces!)

Finished Miniatures

Little Guys

Epic-scale miniatures or just tiny little lads, this category embraces the challenge of getting your paintbrush to cooperate on such a small miniature.

Vehicles & Mechs

On the opposite end of the spectrum, our vehicles and mechs theme showcased various titans, tanks, ships, and robots, all with wonderful attention to detail on a larger scale.

And The Winners Are…

Honourable mentions go to Freya M, Rob L & Sam L for their brilliant entries. Without further ado, the winners of the two themes are as follows.

Little Guys

In third place, we have Ross M’s Night Goblin Boss, second place goes to Ben W’s Kroot Hound, and first place goes to Harley L’s impressive FF9000 from Relic Knights.

Vehicles & Mechs

Jake D secures third place with his Old World Steam Tank, in second place is Murun T’s MEX-E Destroyer War Bot, and taking the crown is Harry K’s Malcador Tank.
