Top 5 Warhammer Costumes
If you’re not ready to let Halloween go just yet, you’re in luck, because we’re bringing you another spooky season blog - feast your eyes on our Top 5 Warhammer Costumes!
As the 31st is nearly upon us, and we know many of you are Warhammer fans possibly looking for costume inspiration, we’ve put together a collection of some of the best Warhammer themed costumes we could find. From a witch-hunter to a space marine, prepare to be amazed at what can be achieved.
If dressing up isn’t your thing, there’s no need to leave just yet. The scale and spectacle of these costumes is a sight to behold. You need to see them…
So, let’s dive straight in.
1. Space Marine
It’s hard to believe this is a homemade costume. Ok, so it did cost upwards of $1000, and realistically that may be slightly steep for something you might only use once, however, we felt that we had to include this amazing space marine design. If anything, this is the prime example of how any of your dressing up ideas are possible.
It’s safe to say that there are definitely some rather dedicated Warhammer 40K fans out there. Remember, if you do attempt anything like this then we’d love to see!
2. Tyranid
We’re taking the scare factor up a gear now, after all, that’s what Halloween is about, isn’t it? This Tyranid Hormagaunt costume is the perfect choice if you’re looking for a terrifying Warhammer costume. We’d imagine that once again this would be a pretty time-consuming design to make, but on the bright side, it seems far more achievable than our first offering. We’d suggest fine-tuning your paper mache skills before attempting this one.
3. Witch-Hunter
If you’re striving for a more mysterious, dark and ominous look this year, then maybe a witch hunter costume would be more up your street.
This option offers the darkness and creepiness of the others but in a far easier way.
Most of the components are fairly basic and could be bought online or on the high street. It’s an ideal illustration of how an effective costume doesn’t always require hours of time and effort.
4. Skaven
Depending on just how revolting and wretched you like your costumes, this Skaven costume could be the one for you.
This shiver-inducing creation would not be simple or quick to make, but we’re sure that the end result would make the whole thing worthwhile.
There is definitely something about the realistic nature of this design that makes it all the more horrifying.
5. Ork
This otherworldly Ork ensemble is definitely a sight to behold, just like the Tyranids, the Ork costume seems to cause a fright because it is so clearly not of this world.
It seems evident now that any Warhammer costume is going to require a degree of creativity and patience, but the end results we’ve seen shows that it pays off. However, it would seem that once again the Ork costume simply requires you to employ the same basic skills as the others we’ve already seen.
Once you’ve crafted the mask mould, you’ll be ready!
We hope to have inspired you with our fairly disturbing collection, and that you’ve enjoyed seeing the extent some people’s creativity can stretch to as much as we have.
If not, then it may have just left you itching to delve into another game of Warhammer. However, if you do have a creative streak in you and decide to give any gaming costumes a go, then be sure to share them with us, we’d love to see.
