5 Ghoulish Games For Halloween

5 Ghoulish Games For Halloween

As October gains momentum, there will undoubtedly be many of us searching for ways to get in the Halloween spirit (please excuse the pun). If that’s you and you’re also partial to a game, then you’ll want to read on.

“Everyday is Halloween, isn’t it? For some of us”- Tim Burton.

In preparation for the spooky season, we’ve compiled a list of games that are bound to give you a thrill. However, as the above quote suggests, these games could help you bring a slice of Halloween into your lives every day of the year!

So without any more hesitation, let’s get started.

1. Eldritch Horror

Are you ready to hold the fate of the world in your hands? With Eldritch Horror you and up to 7 other players can assume the role of globe-trotting investigators who work together to gather clues, solve mysteries, battle terrifying monsters and protect the world from other-worldly forces. From monsters to evil spirits, Eldritch Horror could provide the perfect centrepiece for a ghoulish gathering.

2. Age of Sigmar: Warcry Starter Set

Set within the age of Sigmar universe, Warcry is ideal for anyone who is already a fan of Warhammer. Fight for the attention of Archaon, one of the most powerful warlords in the mortal realm, and watch the bloodbath ensue. If you want to take it up a notch, then journey through the creepy looking Corpsewrack mausoleum scenery pack, and find a new passion within the Warhammer world.

3. Hako Onna

If it is a real scare-fest that you’re after, then we’d say this is the game for you. This hit Japanese game will provide you with a true horror game of hide and seek. With one player as Hako Onna, the other players who are labelled ‘visitors’ must be careful not to make a noise as they search the shadowy mansion, or risk facing the wrath of Hako Onna(the woman in the box). Suitable for any thrill-seekers out there.

4. Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks

Calling all Doctor Who fans! We know you’re out there. Again, if you don’t fancy being captured by Hako Onna, then maybe this will be of interest. Become the Doctor and travel through time to try and prevent the Daleks from erasing the Doctor from time and taking over the universe. If you’re after a family-friendly game that still holds the same mystique of other Halloween games we’ve seen, then Doctor Who: Time of the Daleks may be the game for you.

5. Zombicide: Green Horde

If zombies are your thing, then Zombicide is worth checking out. Work cooperatively and take on the role of survivors of the zombie outbreak. Work together to utilise new strategies to defeat the orc zombies. You must see if you have what it takes to survive. If you’ve always imagined what you’d do in the event of a zombie apocalypse, then now is your chance to give it a go.
