Warhammer 40k: The Six Holy Orders of the Adepta Sororitas

Warhammer 40k: The Six Holy Orders of the Adepta Sororitas

We here at Wayland Games have recently had some new releases for the Games Workshopsโ€™ Warhammer 40k miniatures Adepta Sororitas. From The Imperium, the releases include The Adepta Sororitas Codex, Data Cards, Sister Dogmata, Palatine and many more!

Devout to the almighty Emperor of Mankind, the Battle Sisters are here to save the world from corruption within humanity and the Adeptus Terra. Heretics are those who put any threat towards The Imperium, not actively putting their faith into the all-knowing Emperor.

The Adepta Sororitas Codex includes background information about the Battle Sisters, the six Holy Orders that lay within the faction, Citadel paint guides and much more.

Getting to know the Battle Sisters from Warhammer 40k, is getting to know which Holy Order they represent. Each one has different traditions that encompass the Adepta Sororitas and in turn how they punish heretics to The Imperium.

Orders of the Adepta Sororitas

There are six Holy Orders, all are devout to the mighty Emperor. Each gives the wielder different abilities to use to their advantage - so choose wisely how best you would like to vanquish corruption.

The Order of Our Martyred Lady

Martyred Lady are self-sacrificing, their faith in the Emperor higher than their own lives. One of the holy abilities enables you to gain Miracle Dice when units under this Holy Order are destroyed. With each drop of Imperium blood spilt, the harder they fight to the death to defend their beliefs.

The Order of the Valorous Heart

The Valorous Hearts feel that no matter how many are suffering, as long as they are heretics itโ€™s an acceptable offering for the Emperor. These sisters can dodge mortal wounds on a 5+ by rolling a D6. Some amongst the Valorous Hearts call upon the Emperor by focusing their faith to guide their aimed shots.

The Order of the Bloody Rose

The Bloody Rose is fueled by loathing towards all mutants, aliens, and heretics that threaten the Imperium. Amidst battle, these ladies of faith can add one to their Attack Characteristics when they meet the criteria during the turn. They truly enjoy the thrill of the bloodshed, all in the name of the almighty Emperor.

The Order of the Ebon Chalice

Ebon Chalice is traced back to the original Daughters of the Emperor, who were the predecessors to the Adepta Sororitas. Ebon Chalice adheres strictly to the principles on which Adepta Sororitas were formed. Other Holy Orders feel lesser than the Ebon Chalice and wish to have their level of dedication for the battle against heresy. Ebon Chalice units can perform an Act of Faith, where you discard 1 Miracle dice. By discarding this, the Miracle Dice is considered a 6.

The Order of the Argent Shroud

The Argent Shroud takes advantage of speed and uses their courage to deliver the striking blow to their enemies hearts. These models can take a normal move or advancement, yet remain stationary until the end of the shoot phase. With their strong faith, the Argent Shroud are also tougher against psychic strikes than other Sisters.

The Order of the Sacred Rose

The Sacred Rose are the calm and collected sisters, who in the face of disorder and disarray continue to sing their hymns of hope and salvation to the Emperor. Not afraid of the battle surrounding them, ready for death if it so chooses them. They automatically pass a Combat Attrition test, so devout they are rewarded by the almighty Emperor.
