Happy June Wayland Gamers, and welcome officially to summer! We have lots coming up this month with brand new products that are going to make you so excited, you’re not going to want to be out in the sun, you’re going to want to be sat right at the tabletop! We wanted to feature the biggest releases this June, so keep your eyes peeled and prepare for the best summer indoors.

One of the biggest releases this month is Oak & Iron by Firelock Games. Oak & Iron is a 1/600th scale naval game set in the age of piracy. If you are familiar with other releases by Firelock Games, you can expect everything that fans of this manufacturer love. This is not just a pirate-themed game, this game takes historical integrity and uses this into fruition to truly make the game come alive. You can guarantee that this game stays close to the heart of its theme and time period. Go ahead, take yourself back to the days of scurvy and rum!

Oak & Iron: 2 Player Starter Set

The Oak & Iron: 2 Player Starter Set works as a Core Box to embark on your new sea-ridden adventure. Everything that is in the box sets you and another player up to get started with your crusade! This set is not just the bare minimum, Firelock Games have included an incredible amount of features in the box to make sure that not only are you prepared to start the game well, but they have prepared you with the ideals of customisation! You can start your game with a choice of 6 different starting factions, and a playmat to wholly immerse yourself in this new world.

Expansions

If you are looking for further customisation within Oak & Iron, look no further. Firelock Games have released several expansions alongside the 2-Player Starter Set to allow you to expand and diversify your fleet. Each expansion comes with different ships, for different purposes within your new adventure. So if the thirst for sea-ear is beckoning you further, be sure to upgrade your fleet with the multiple expansions Oak & Iron have to offer.

Dice And Movement Extras

It's worth noting the Oak & Iron expansions do not come with extras such as movement tools and dice. If you are looking for some spares past what you have purchased within the ‘Core Box’, you can also pick them up here.

Now is the perfect time to jump into Infinity. Corvus Belli has announced an exciting new release: Infinity CodeOne.

Infinity CodeOne the newest range of Infinity products. Not only is it new, but it's also 'new player' friendly. Infinity CodeOne is a streamlined version of the sci-fi wargame, keeping theme with everything already loved by Infinity fans worldwide, but with tweaks such as shorter matches - taking no longer than an hour.

Infinity: CodeOne Rulebook - English

Kickstart your new journey into Infinity CodeOne with the new rulebook. This rulebook will give you everything you need to adapt to the new playstyle of the new faster version. As this new game style is a condensed version of the already world-widely popular Infinity, there will be some updated rules to configure your miniatures into this streamlined, dynamic adventure.

Miniature Packs

Initiate warfare with new miniatures that perfectly pair with Infinity CodeOne. The Combined Army: Shavastii Action Pack are light and mobile, which makes them ideal for disdaining super-heavy combat units, whereas the Beyond Kaldstrom, is the excellent expansion to the already popular ‘Operation Kaldstrom’ - the newest mission designed for Infinity CodeOne.

Monsterpocalypse has some fantastic releases this month, and it's not just awesome new miniatures. There are brand new terrain pieces to make your monstrous tabletop battles truly come alive. This ‘last monster standing’ miniature game, will have you hunting down your opponent’s monster to seek and destroy (with the help of your special dice), to achieve full victory. But be careful, your opponent will be doing the same to you!

Miniatures

Three new miniatures are coming your way this month for Monsterpocalypse - one coming with an expansion!

The Leviathron - a primitive fish-like nightmare that does not fear easily. This brute is a defence monster that can be added to any Protectors force. With its’ special abilities, this beast can use water as a special hiding space and take out group units with ease.

The Blastikutter is a mad-science creation with a keen sense of perception. This versatile beast can create tunnels underground for both attack and defence, and his two heads act as the perfect weapon to action multiple duties at once. A force to not be over-sighted!

And finally the Megaton Mashup. With a name like that, you are sure to know that this expansion is going to be good! This expansion introduces a brand new way to engage in combat within Monsterpocalypse. It includes a new monster, Gallamaxus, who can be used with versatility in standard-play and also be used to face down players brave and willing enough to walk into his threshold. Included in this expansion: the card deck controls (to take reign over the new monster), and a new set of rules to teach players how they can work together to take the enemy down.

Terrain

There are also three new terrain pieces this month to add to your monster showdown, the Cathedral, Media Company and Rocket Gantry to mix up your take-downs in style.

Fantasy Flight Games have two new Hero packs this month - time to immerse yourself into new aspects of the game with two iconic heroes.

Hero Packs

The first hero to have new products this month is Black Widow. Natasha Romanov’s cards are pre-built for her alone by utilising the Justice aspect. Her Hero pack includes the Taskmaster Nemesis set with additional cards to help grow your deck-building opportunities. Play as Black Widow and her savvy skills with this deck, and you will be well and truly ready for whatever outcome may be coming next.

Secondly, we have the mean, green beast himself, Dr Bruce Banner AKA - The Hulk. If you have ever considered what it is really like to be The Hulk, to smash at whatever opportunity arises: here would be a great start! The Hulk’s Hero Pack packs quite a punch. His stats are something to consider; whether he has ‘hulked out’ or not, you most definitely want The Hulk (or Bruce Banner) on your side.

Game Mats

Marvel Champions are also releasing two new game mats this month to ensure your next Marvel Champions game is not only made easy for you to place your decks but made with customisation in mind with your most loved characters and their Hero Packs. Both Black Widow and Bruce Banner Game Mats are available to be pre-ordered separately from their Hero Packs.

Legend of the Five Rings has also got a few incredible releases this month. Explore the newest RPG adventure, with the latest cards in Dynasty Packs. Dive deep into role-play with aid from the current source books, or jump into story and lore. There is plenty to choose from this month for any warrior ready to start his next mission.

Dynasty Packs

Safeguard the future of the Emerald Empire and uphold your clan’s honour, with three new Dynasty Decks all containing different aspects to weave your way through Legend of the Five Rings.

Explore a new deck centred on your Bushi with the ‘Campaigns of Conquest’ Deck where you can enhance your clans deck building options.

Dynasty Deck, ‘Pursuit of Truth’ adds unique new mechanics to challenge players’ understanding of the game, so if you are looking for diversity in a game you think you already know so well, accept the challenge that ‘In Pursuit of Truth' has to offer you.

Finally ‘As Honor Demands’ puts the focus squarely on your provinces and increases their honour, unlocking new paths to victory for the Great Clans.

With these three new Dynasty Decks, you will be entertained for hours upon end with more missions and enhancements that you might be able to fathom!

Books

Roleplaying Adventure, ‘Wheel of Judgement’ is designed specifically for deceased PCs. This 144-page full-colour source-book is an incredible tool for any RPG adventurer within this universe.
