The Blog Where... Wayland Games Goes to the Woods
When you go down to the woods today, you’re sure to bump into some Wayland Games staff…
Well, maybe not right now but you may have done if you went earlier this year!
We all recently went to Center Parcs Woburn for a company weekend away and we wanted to share with you some of the highlights of a trip filled with plenty of wildlife, food, and activities where none of us ended up stuck up a tree* (although someone got locked out of their lodge - a tale for another day, I’m sure).
*As far as we know.
The Part Where Wayland Games Meets Wildlife
There’s plenty of wildlife at Center Parcs, it took us all by surprise. Although, we are pretty sure Mr. Pond did not see big cats outside his back window (as he so boldly claimed).
The Part Where Wayland Games Eats Too Much
The one regret many of us had? Not eating at The Pancake House enough.
The Part Where Wayland Games Does Activities
Falconry, Archery, Tree-trekking, Laser Combat… the list went on and on.
We were a little too busy to get very many photos but here are a few our staff managed to take whilst enjoying themselves.
No animals were harmed in Field Archery (the fake ones did get a few arrows though!)
The Part Where Wayland Games Spends Evenings Inside
It wouldn’t be Wayland Games if people didn’t bring a selection of board games along with them.
Evenings in meant BBQs, board gaming, and good meet-ups.
Plus an evening in on the last night watching a good science-fiction film!
All the staff at Wayland Games would like to say a big thank you to our Managing Director, Richard Lawford, for inviting us (and our families) to Center Parcs for a relaxing, yet eventful, weekend.
