Star Wars: Legion

Star Wars: Legion

Are you as excited as we are for the upcoming Star Wars: Legion?

With the Star Wars: Legion Core Set dropping in just under 5 months (exciting times!), and the new expansions already announced, I wanted to delve a little deeper into what to expect from what promises to be an epic game.

If you missed the Star Wars: Legion announcement, take a look back at the Teaser Trailer released by FFG just a few short months ago -

In my opinion, I find it almost impossible to love Star Wars and not want to recreate the battles of the films in some way. Many people are already familiar with Star Wars: Imperial Assault, a great boardgame which allowed us to take small troops into battle in skirmish battles and play awesome campaigns (and something I play regularly), what Legion promises to deliver is something very different.

Star Wars: Legion looks to be a full-on tabletop miniatures wargame, something which will appeal to fans of Imperial Assault and wargamers alike and something which at least a few (it cannot just be me) of us have been pining for some time. I'm also looking forward to getting my mitts on my very own army to paint up! Also, I'm not going to lie here, I intend on giving my T-47 Airspeeder one hell of a custom paint job...

I'd recommend having a look through the awesome Teri Litorco's review on Geek and Sundry from August for a more in-depth look, you can find this here.

Out of all the expansions released, the T-47 Airspeeder Expansion is definitely one that stands out to me - it's always good to get a little air superiority and the T-47 Airspeeder Unit Expansion for Star Wars: Legion does exactly this!

Along with adding a beautifully sculpted, unpainted T-47 airspeeder miniature to your Rebel armies, this expansion includes all the unit cards and upgrade cards needed to make the T-47 airspeeder a crucial part of your battle for freedom.

But, as Qui-Gon Jinnthere’s would say; there's always a bigger fish. Alongside the Rebel T-47 expansion, FFG balance the battlefield with one full of Imperial power...

The AT-ST Unit Expansion for Star Wars: Legion contains a single finely sculpted, massive AT-ST miniature, which can be assembled to loom over the battlefield and provide a rallying point for your entire army.

Alongside this beautiful miniature, you'll find an assortment of all the unit cards and upgrade cards needed to fully integrate the AT-ST into the Empire's war machine and your armies.

The Star Wars: Legion miniatures wargame puts you in command of troops on a war-torn battlefield of the Galactic Civil War partaking in thrilling infantry battles of the Star Wars galaxy, and the Star Wars: Legion Core Set contains everything needed to get started.

The Core Set contains unpainted easy to assemble miniatures, and all the cards, movement tools, tokens, and terrain that you need for battle.

That's everything you need to command your troops in battle and devise masterful tactics to conquer your opponent’s army and bring victory to the light side or the dark side!

To get the two-player miniatures game rolling all you need is a willing battle partner.
