Who are The Daylight Company?
Patrick Jacquelin founded this company in the 1980s. After liaising with his artist friends, he realised there was a real need for lighting solutions to help those creating works of art. He began by creating a lamp that featured a blue-tinted daylight bulb to help. He wanted to mimic natural daylight with he ability to position it exactly where needed, so the most natural works of art were born.
The First Daylight Lamp
However, as the company grew, Patrick realised that many niches across the world had specific needs, and lamps weren’t a “one size fits all”. And thus, he added lamps to the range that featured aesthetic designs and even better positioning options, going beyond providing the right colour temperature for colour matching and good contrast qualities, as well as optimum brightness, and the right spread of light.
By 1995, The Daylight Company became one of the leading manufacturers of lamps for the hobby community, expanding to Europe, and even offering products for those with sight loss.
