Wayland Games Announces Major Development of State-of-the-Art Warehouse to Accommodate Continued Expansion

Thanks to your continued support, the expansion of Wayland Games was inevitable. Our commitment to keep up with increasing demand and operational efficiency meant expanding to a new, larger, more sophisticated warehouse facility. This new warehouse means we can be more sustainable too! It features solar panels, efficient lighting, and plenty of cycle parking spaces to encourage the cycle-to-work scheme.

Salute Painting Competition

Every year, we support Salute 51. This year, we decided to go further and sponsor their painting competition! Being hobby enthusiasts, we love making miniature painting events a wonderful experience for others.

Wayland Games Fundraising for Mental Health UK

This year, we decided to support Mental Health UK’s fundraising efforts. Mental Health is something that was ignored for a long time as it wasn’t seen as a tangible problem, and we want to make sure that our staff members and the community alike feel well-supported in all aspects of their health.

Work Experience with Wayland Games

We partnered with the BEP Group to provide young people with an opportunity to have access to work experience here at Wayland Games! Students will be able to undergo different tailor-made roles to help them gain insight into the ways of Wayland business, and to provide them with valuable exposure.

Salute 2024

Not only did we sponsor their painting competition, but we also set up shop there! We provided attendees with an excellent range of tabletop games, and teamed up with Warcradle Studios to give demos of the 19th century naval wargame Dystopian Wars!

UKGE

We love supporting the gaming community here at Wayland! So of course, not only did we attend UKGE, but we were also major sponsors for the 7th year in a row. We came with freebies, demos from Warcradle Studios, and event-exclusive products!

Delivering Sustainability: Our Eco-Conscious UK Couriers

Wayland commits to reach net zero by 2040, and this year we have made great strides to achieve it. We use Royal Mail, DPD, and Evri, all of which are trying to reach net zero by 2040 too!

Striving To Be Plastic-Free at Wayland Games

With updates to the warehouse shopping process (water-activated gum tape machines, recycled packaging, and only using plastic we are received from other organisations), Wayland strives for a plastic-free future!

Sourcing UK-based Suppliers and Sustainable Solutions

Feighting can mean high added pollution to the environment. So, we have divided to change to a UK-based supplier to reduce our carbon footprint and help contribute to the UK economy.

Join Wayland Games in Celebrating International Women’s Day!

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2024 at Wayland Games, we decided to host a bake-off competition to support Mental Health UK.

Painting Competitions

Our Staff are dedicated to the miniatures hobby! This year’s themes were Earth Day, Minis and Mechs, Monochrome and X-Punk, Fears & Phobias and Rainbows, and Festive and Once More with Feeling (where staff paint a mini that fits their chosen song!).

The Great Wayland Bake Off and Summer Quiz

We leaned into our competitive flair with the Great Wayland Bake Off and Summer Quiz this year! We asked our staff to bring the summer vibes with a picnic theme for the Bake Off, and brought together staff-favourite sections for the Summer Quiz.

Wear it Pink Day

Staff members wore something pink in October to show solidarity and raise awareness for those affected by breast cancer.

International Men’s Day Baking Competition

Granted our commitment to supporting Mental Health UK, we also decided to run a baking competition for International Men’s Day! Staff were asked to create great-tasting bakes, alongside visually pleasing foods.

Christmas Party

Our staff headed to our annual Christmas meal where Secret Santa gifts were exchanged, great food was consumed, and lots of dancing was involved!

Office Dog Update

It wouldn’t be Wayland Games’ offices without our furry friends! This year, we’ve had some office regulars and new additions.
